While there are some changes to traveling to Disneyland Resort you'll need to be aware of, by booking with Get Away Today, we'll make sure you have everything you need to know. And of course, we'll be with you every step of the way. So let’s get started!

There are a number of news items that you may or may not have heard about for Disneyland. We’ve taken a look at those below.

Disneyland Resort Theme Park Reservations

One of the first things you’ll need to know is Disneyland Resort still utilizes the Disney Parks Pass Reservation System which is different from Walt Disney World. This system requires guests to have both a park reservation as well as a valid theme park ticket to enter either of the two Disneyland Resort theme parks. Disneyland Reservation System continues to be in use for future dates as well.

Reservations are made online through the Disneyland website and availability can be checked before buying tickets or booking a vacation package. And of course, Get Away Today is happy to help with that process.

Remember, Park Hopper tickets allow you to switch parks beginning as early as 11:00 am with unlimited switching afterwards.

2025 and Beyond: New Disneyland Rides

• “Walt Disney: A Magical Life” with an all new Walt Disney animatronic debuts in 2025 at the Main Street Opera House. After its initial debut, the show will then play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.” Opening May 16, 2025.
• Avengers Campus will double in size with the addition of two new attractions – Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab, construction begins in 2025 (Disney California Adventure Park)
• Travel to a whole new corner of Pandora, inspired by “Avatar: The Way of Water” and future Avatar films, dates to be announced (Disney California Adventure Park)
• Travel to the Land of the Dead with Miguel and his skeletal family from Pixar’s “Coco” in this all-new attraction, construction begins in 2025 (Disney California Adventure Park)
• Brand-new adventures coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in celebration of the new Star Wars film “The Mandalorian and Grogu” (Disneyland Park)

Guests of Disneyland Resort hotels will be able to enter a select theme park 30 minutes prior to the park’s opening to the general public.

MagicBands have arrived at Disneyland! You can now customize and purchase your MagicBand+ any time before or during your vacation. MagicBands+ allow you to remain hands-free and less tied to your cell phone during your trip.

We’re excited to welcome MagicBand+ to Disneyland Resort.

Park Hopping at Disneyland looks a little different these days. If you haven’t been back in a while, it’s important to know that all guests with a park hopper ticket can begin park hopping at 11:00 am PT.

Park hopping tickets are still an excellent value, allowing you to visit both theme parks every day your tickets are valid.

There’s no need (or even an option) to make a reservation for your second theme park. Once park hopping opens for the day, you can hop back and forth as many times as you wish.
