Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! is officially open at Disneyland! We are here today to be your guides to the all-new out of this world attraction. Now raise those hands - it's time for your bio scans and to learn everything you need to know about the Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!

 

 

Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! is flat out AWESOME and most importantly, fun! And the first step in the future of Disneyland. We know a lot of people have different thoughts on this new attraction, but I don't know if I have laughed, screamed or enjoyed every aspect of a ride more than I did Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! (Full disclosure, I am a big nerd.) This is so much more than just an overlay over Tower of Terror. Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! holds its own as a full fledged Disneyland attraction and has understandably, become an instant fan favorite. Now get ready as we take you through our video walkthrough of the all new Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!: 

As you can see, the Collector's Fortress looms over California Adventure and can be seen throughout the park. This massive structure is eye-catching with so much incredible detail. We were surprised just how awesome and beautiful it looked! It fits right in to the new direction the Disneyland Resort, and more specifically, California Adventure, is taking. In this fortress the infamous Collector has taken all of the Guardians of the Galaxy captive. You enter the experience initially to tour the facility, but are quickly recruited by none other than Rocket Raccoon for a top secret mission to rescue the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy.  

 

 

This attraction has been a huge hit! And once you ride it, it is pretty easy to see why. Everyone wants to experience this unique and unforgettable attraction.Thankfully, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! somehow makes you want to stay in line longer! Around every corner, behind every case, there is a hidden secret, shoutout, callback, nod or hint to the Marvel Universe. I scoured the whole place and maybe caught a tenth of everything in there. The amount of detail and attention that is behind every single object is unfathomable. Not only do you get to see awesome Marvel props, there are so many classic Disney references - including Tower of Terror and Harold the Yeti. The line is an attraction of its own! Not only this, but once you get over your initial jaw drop of all the incredible artifacts, easter eggs and just all around coolness of the inside of the fortress, you start to realize the real-life actors we have all come to know and love are a part of the attraction in the video playing on the wall. And not just a little bit! It adds a whole new level of care and authenticity to an already outstanding attraction.  

 

 

Now it is time to meet Rocket Raccoon in real life. And boy does he look awesome! Disney does animatronics better than anyone out there and it is ridiculously apparent here. Here is where you will learn the back story to the unforgettable elevator ride you are about to take. Again, the room is filled with so many cool artifacts! Be sure to look at the famous Walkman once Rocket is finished explaining and the doors open. 

 

 

Now, most importantly, the ride itself. As I said before, plain and simply, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! is just plain old fun. You will not get tired of this ride. I rode it 10 times and already can't wait to go again. With 6 different songs, each with their own drop sequences and scenes (all with the Guardians of the Galaxy actors), you will want to ride again and again. You just never know what to expect! Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! differs from Tower of Terror in many ways, but I think here is where it is most apparent. First off, Guardians is far more intense that Tower of Terror. Rather than taking you to the top and dropping you, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! shoots you up and lets you fall. I truly think I spent more time in the air than in my seat. Even when you are watching the scenes, you are constantly moving, bouncing to the beat of the music. It is seriously so cool when something in the scene effects you falling or launching up. Plus, as you would expect from a Guardians of the Galaxy property, this ride is FUNNY. Each of the characters you have come to know and love shine and constantly make you laugh. Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! is a fun filled adventure unlike anything you have ever experienced. Trust me, you won't stop smiling. 

 

 

And Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! is just the very beginning for Marvel at Disneyland! Get ready for some crazy exciting things to come to Disney California Adventure very soon. If this attraction is any indication of what is to come, to say we are ecstatic would be a complete understatement. Be sure to stay tuned!
