Adventure is literally around every corner in Adventureland. Thrilling attractions, a tall treehouse to explore and a tropical hideaway are just some of the fun awaiting your crew. You can also spend some time inside one of the only remaining attractions that Walt Disney himself worked on. Read on to get all of the details of what’s in store in Adventureland:

Adventureland Attractions:

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room
Adventureland is also home to some of the most classic Disneyland® attractions, like Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Not only was this Adventureland attraction personally worked on by Walt Disney, it was the first time animatronics were used inside a theme park. The 15-minute show runs continuously throughout the day and serves as a tropical escape from the hustle and bustle of the park. You can even grab a Dole Whip from the Tiki Juice Bar before you go in. Just be warned, you may be singing “the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room” for the rest of the day, and you’ll like it.

Indiana Jones Adventure
It’s hard to believe that it’s been well over 20 years since this attraction first debuted and it is still delighting guests as much as it did on opening day. The attraction begins as soon as you enter the queue. You’ll wind through an ancient temple that is full of secrets itself. Watch for hidden messages painted on the walls and a few interactive surprises.

Once you get on the attraction, you’ll board an open-aired vehicle and be taken on a twisting journey. But what will you be seeking? You will be taken on one of three adventures searching for either the Fountain of Eternal Youth, Chamber of Earthly Riches or Observatory of the Future. No matter which door you enter, you’ll encounter fire, mummies, crashing boulders and snakes… Why did it have to be snakes?

This is easily one of the most popular rides at Disneyland® and getting a FastPass is recommended. There is a 46” height requirement, so if you have young kids, you may want to consider using the Rider Swap option.

Jungle Cruise
The Jungle Cruise is one of the remaining opening day Disneyland® attractions that you can still ride today. You’ll board a river boat and cruise through the Mekong, African Congo, Nile and Amazon Rivers where you’ll spot giraffes, zebras, lions, hippos and so much more. And don’t worry, there is no shortage of cheesy puns or one liners. In fact, the Jungle Cruise is as well known for its jokes as it is for its wild animals.

One thing you may not know about the Jungle Cruise is that it is one of the few places in the Disneyland® Resort where you can get a free souvenir. Just ask for a free Jungle Cruise map as you’re leaving the attraction.

Tarzan's Treehouse
There aren’t many places where you can cross a rope bridge 80 feet in the air, but you can in Tarzan’s Treehouse! Guests of all ages will love exploring Tarzan’s Treehouse where you’ll see Tarzan’s inventions, Jane’s sketches and other artifacts from their life in the jungle. You get to the treehouse via an inconspicuous staircase on the border between Adventureland and New Orleans Square. And the views from the top are spectacular.

Character Meet & Greets
If you want to meet Moana, make way to Adventureland where she can frequently be found greeting guests on her journey. You can often find her near the entrance to Tarzan’s Treehouse.

Adventureland Dining:

Bengal Barbecue
Bengal Barbecue is famous for their super tasty and affordable skewers available in a variety of meats and veggies. Some of the most popular options include the Safari Skewer which features bacon wrapped asparagus, and their Bengal Beef Skewers. Their recently expanded menu also features Bengal Rice Plates that come with your choice of two skewers, poke bowls and a hummus trio. You can also order their famous Tiger Tail Breadsticks and fruity, non-alcoholic Jungle Julep.

Tiki Juice Bar
The menu at the Tiki Juice Bar is short and sweet. You can order Dole pineapple juice, a Dole Pineapple Whip (which is a vegan soft serve ice cream), or a Dole Whip Float, that’s a combination of the two. All are equally delicious and refreshing. You pick up Dole Whips from two sides. If you want to wait, you can stand in line along the outside of the path into Adventureland. Or, you can save time by simply Mobile Ordering and picking yours up from the other side of the Tiki Juice Bar, located in the courtyard outside of the Tiki Room.

The Tropical Hideaway
The newest dining location in Adventureland has quickly made its way to being among the most popular in the Resort. Fans of the original pineapple Dole whips can now try the same treat in new flavors: raspberry and orange. Try them on their own or in a tropical twist. You can even go really wild and try a loaded whip topped with either “exotic fruit and crystallized hibiscus” or “chamoy, mango and chile-lime seasoning.” You’ll also find a variety of bao sandwiches, a ramen shaker, a wide selection of fresh fruit and lumpia for dessert.

Not only is the food delicious, the Tropical Hideaway is in an awesome location. It’s hidden behind the Enchanted Tiki Room and nestled up against the river bank of the Jungle Cruise. You will feel like you’ve been completely transported to the tropics.

Tropical Imports
Grab a quick, healthy snack from Tropical Imports while you’re winding the streets of Adventureland. You can order a giant pickle, bag of chips, Mini Babybel Cheese packs and fresh fruit. It’s one of the only places you’ll find freshly sliced mangoes with Tajin seasoning, and it’s worth the trip.

Adventureland Shopping:

Adventureland Bazaar
This open-air market sells unique clothing, accessories and other souvenirs from around the globe. In fact, it’s one of the only stores located inside one of the Parks that sells non-Disney merchandise. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of Disney merch as well. You can buy hard-to-find items like animal print Minnie Ears.

Adventureland Tips/Additional Info:

One of Disneyland’s most beloved folklore legends lives in Adventureland. According to the tale, the Little Man of Disneyland® is a leprechaun named Patrick who used to live in the orange groves in what is now Disneyland®. He refused to leave the land and now has a tiny home at the base of a tree near the entrance to Indiana Jones Adventure. Watch for it on your next visit.

Keep your eyes peeled for other treasures in Adventureland. For example, Aladdin’s “other” lamp and Shrunken Ned can both be found inside the Adventureland Bazaar. We won’t tell you too much about them so they still keep their air of mystery.

Adventureland has one large stroller area and appropriate stroller parking is enforced in order to keep foot traffic through the area flowing. Make sure you park your empty stroller in the stroller parking area, otherwise, it will be moved there for you if left unattended and it will be more difficult to find. As a general stroller tip, it is a good idea to have some identifying items on your stroller so it’s always easy to spot.
