Very outdated, rain was seeping in through sliding glass doors soaking carpet during storm. Very outdated rooms and overpriced amenities

I would not stay here again. Outside it was beautiful but staff were not polite or well trained talking to people. It was very dirty and dated. The bay looked like a swampy pond. We like the birds and the fish. Security was good but you don’t want to know how I know that.

The hotel has positive and negatives. The positives were it was a very family friendly hotel. Great vacation feel about it. The rooms had kitchens in them so at least you could keep things in the refrigerator. It had an arcade that was on free play so the kids could play the games for free. The pool was always stocked with towels. Most the people that worked there were very friendly and helpful. It is in a great location to walk to the ocean and the boardwalk. The negative...we were told that they were short on housekeeping but that our room would be cleaned at least once during our stay and it never was. We had construction above us and below us every morning starting at 7 am during the weekdays. There is only one restaurant in the hotel and it is very expensive. The bartenders in the bar would not help me 2 nights in a row when I tried to get drinks for my children. I was not a priority to them. I asked for a late check out because we had a late flight and we had met a family that was doing late check out so we were going to stay and play with them and I was told no and that the latest I could check out was 11:30 (check out was at 11) while this other family was told they could stay until 1 pm.

Beautiful property. Very nice and helpful staff. Room was large. No comp breakfast though. That would make it perfect.

The staff at the front desk were not overly helpful. The rooms are comfortable but can use updating. It has lots of activities for kids. We especially loved the free arcade!

Ok but needs better cleaning

LOVED staying here! The rooms were great, the garden and walkways were impeccable. We loved being so close to the beach, we could go out and play anytime. The complimentary cruise around mission bay was an incredible experience as well. San Diego has so much fun to offer and we loved where we were at, it was the icing on the cake!

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and make you feel like your in a tropical oasis. Our room was comfortable and had everything we could need. Bathroom was updated, but the rest of the room seemed older. That wasn’t a big deal though. Beds were fairly comfortable. The pool area and beach were very nice! They provide beach chairs and umbrellas, but you have to get out to the beach early to snag a chair. Was a very relaxing resort and family friendly. The town of mission bay however was not very family friendly. Bars on every corner and definitely a party town. Probably wouldn’t choose to stay in mission bay again. Although we loved that the water didn’t have waves for our little ones. The boat cruise that is complimentary was fun. Take advantage of that. Overall really enjoyef our stay here 😀

Slightly older but great customer service! They upgraded us to a large family suite right next to the pool since we were not bayside. Great atomsphere.

We decided to splurge on this hotel and we did not regret it. My kids loved it too. It's proximity to the beach and the gorgeous views were well worth it. It was really close to SeaWorld too. The pool area was fabulous and our room was spacious and we loved having the suite with the kitchenette. We will definitely be going back to this hotel again.

This hotel has one of my favorite beach spots on the bay. They have a great area for beach volleyball. You must go see their birds too! The little show they put on is absolutely awesome and the ids loved it. This is one of the resorts that I could stay at all weekend long if the kids would let me.
