We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is very pretty on the inside. it is set up with all doors to the rooms facing the inside of the hotel in a big half circle. This is pretty but at the same time when anyone is down in the bar it gets very loud all night long. The food in the breakfast area was delicious. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The front counter staff were super nice. I received two text messages from them making sure we were happy and well taken care of. The only down side was the noise level that first night.

We loved this hotel, the staff was helpful and kind, the breakfast (as with most Embassy Suites) was amazing, well stocked, and delicious. The evening reception every night was nice too, it could be enough for a light dinner, most nights they have several veggies and ranch, as well as pretzels, and then chips and dip or pretzels and dip, as well as free drinks. Since we were going both north (to Carlsbad and the Safari Park) and south (to Seaworld and the zoo) it was a nice middle location. Parking in the garage is $28 per night, but there is free on-the-street parking not too far away, so after 1 night of using the garage, we just opted to park on the street for the rest of our stay to save the $28 (and so did a lot of other hotel guests.) The pool area is indoor (the spa is outside) which was nice on the cooler/rainy day we were there. Another perk of staying here is that it's about 6 minutes away from the San Diego temple (of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints AKA the Mormons). It was beautiful to take a quick visit to the temple grounds before we headed to the parks. Had parking not been as expensive, I'd have given the hotel 5 stars.

Our family was so excited about how close we were to the beach. Just a couple minute drive and we were at the water! (which is where we spent most of our time) The hotel was nice and clean and accommodating. We loved the hot breakfast in the morning! I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good place to stay with your family.
