Great location
-Can’t beat the location of this hotel. Literally right next to the Toy Story parking lot, so easy and free transport to the parks. -Loved the free breakfast! They had enough choices to keep my family happy, and fresh hot coffee all day long. -The pool left a little to be desired. It’s very basic, the only shower available is outside and there is like no shade. -My only real complaint with this hotel is the housekeeping. They never came in to change towels or take the trash out. We asked for my son’s sheets to be changed on the bunk beds and in 6 hours they never came. We called back down at like 11pm and they brought sheets to the door and left, they didn’t even take the old ones away.
Great Family Choice!
This hotel is perfect for those who have families and are wanting to cook while on their trip. It has a little family room and kitchen with a big fridge and cabinets to store food. We’ve stayed here a few times and like it a lot. The breakfast in the morning is great with so many options. You can have groceries delivered to the hotel so you can pack food to take to Disney. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the shuttle buses or a 20 minute walk straight to the park. We also took a Lyft a few times directly to the park to save on walking and it was really cheap to do that. Overall we’ve always enjoyed our stay here!
Great Hotel!
Out of all the hotels in Anaheim that we've stayed in in the last 10+ years or so, especially in the area of Disneyland, this hotel has been one of our favorites. Besides the free breakfast buffet, and the spacious rooms, it is within walking distance to/from the Toy Story Parking Lot next door. Breakfast had the standard eggs, alternating meat protein, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit. It does get busy during the mornings, but staff was great at cleaning and refilling items in the buffet. I could find a room that's either across the street or somewhere even closer to the Harbor entrance of Disneyland, but the fact that walking to the Toy Story Lot AND going through the security at the lot first BEFORE being dropped off the bus in the morning was a big deciding factor for us. We hope to stay again in the near future.
Close and a good breakfast!
Provided great breakfast every morning, close to Disneyland and had a shuttle to and from nearby. The room was spacious and a small kitchen for our family. Would stay again!!
Will definitely be back!
Our room was spacious and well-stocked. We loved the AM breakfast and Wednesday evening social. Short walk to Disney or a short walk to the Toy Story parking lot where you can ride the shuttle. Will definitely be back!
Highly Recommend!
Best hotel in Anaheim resort. From check in to check out, everything was a great experience. Friendly staff and good tasting breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
Amazing hotel!
Amazing hotel! Very close to the parks and right next door to a free shuttle to the parks. Stay here!
Pros and cons
Pros -CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! -2nd day they came to tidy. -breakfast buffet -heated pool -free shuttle to disneyland...Cons -AC didn’t work the whole stay and they wouldn’t change my room -sent mantience once and they couldn’t fix it and then they said they would send again but didn’t. -asked for towels and no one brought them . -food at the buffet wasn’t flavorful.
Everything was great!
Everything was great! The breakfast was awesome each morning and of really good quality. They cleaned our room each day without our asking. And the desk staff were so friendly.
The hotel was great
The hotel was great. While our room wasn't available for early check in, they were able to hold our bags while we explored downtown Disney. The app alerted us once the room was ready. The breakfasts in the morning were great to help load up before busy park days and the staff was always accommodating, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we were able to use all the amenities. While we didn't cook in the kitchen, we did use the grill outside during our "day's off" from the parks.
Great and resonably priced
This is the second time we have stayed here. This time was just as good as the first despite some hiccups along the way! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable enough after a long day in the parks. We arrived about an hour before check-in and weren't expecting to be able to access our room but it was ready for us so we were able to check in. Once in our room we discovered we were missing some utensils. We only had two of many of the items and there were four of us so we asked at the desk and were given some plastic utensils...not the greatest but served the purpose. On our fourth day the hotel had a water pipe burst so we had no water for about 5-6 hours. This was not the best but it was also something the hotel had very little control over. It was a rest day for us unfortunately so it impacted us a bit more than it would have had it been a day in the parks. The hotel provided water for us although it was a pain to constantly go and retrieve it from the lobby. Again, the staff was obviously dealing with a lot and this was a minor inconvenience for us. There was a full breakfast every day which was great as we ate before leaving for the parks. On Wednesdays they have brought back the Evening Social and we enjoyed a light dinner and drinks. The other bonus is being able to use the Toy Story Shuttle to the parks and Downtown Disney. We used it every day multiple times. It was very hot and a bit humid when we were there and walking an extra 20-25 minutes home from the parks would have been a lot. We also liked that in the mornings we could go through security there instead of at the parks. There was never a line and there was rarely a wait for a shuttle. Keep in mind there is a bit of a walk to the shuttle from the hotel. We were all adults so we didn't mind it and it took us about 5 minutes (10 at the end of the day!). Overall this hotel is a great and reasonably priced choice.
Desperately needs an upgrade
This hotel was terrible! The bed was like sleeping on a piece of wood! After a long day at Disneyland rest in a comfy bed is a must!! I am very picky when it comes to a place to stay and this place was very disappointing. Old, smelly and wasn’t very clean at all! Needs to be upgraded desperately!!
Several hiccups but you can’t beat the pric
Queen beds were small and pillow selections were terrible. We had to request towels three times. Finally the front desk just handled that . Front desk was so nice 100% of the time. Charged us for a car on property when we did not have one. Several hiccups but you can’t beat the price. Toy story parking lot next door so it saves the extra walking
I would definitely stay there again
The hotel is across the street from the Toy Story parking lot so we could walk to the shuttles and ride for free. The hot breakfast was a time-saver and they offered different things each day. The housekeeping staff did a great job tidying up our room each day. I would definitely stay there again.
Overall, I would say it’s a decent place to stay
Pros: The staff is super friendly. The breakfast was included which is always great (especially if you have teens). Close to Disneyland so you can walk or take the shuttle in the toy story parking lot. Cons: They are not doing housekeeping during your stay. Which means you have to track down housekeeping to get fresh towels. When you have a large family in a room together it get annoying. It also means your garbage is piling up so don’t throw away food in your room. The pool is not heated so there were usually a lot of people in the hot tub. Overall, I would say it’s a decent place to stay because of its location but not my favorite considering it’s a Hilton.
Disney inspired balloons for the kids
Homewood inn and suites convention center was a short 5 minute walk to the toy story parking lot. From there we got on a free Disney bus to the parks! Homewood provided a full breakfast with an ever-changing menu and had Disney inspired balloons for the kids. On Wednesday evening they have appetizers, wine and beer. The room was large enough for our family of 5 with a king bed, bunk bed and trundle bed and the kitchen with full sized fridge was great!
Top choice for off property
This hotel still claims to be new but it’s been around a few years. There is wear in the rooms we’ve stayed in, but the staff are attentive to correct any issues. We stayed in a Family Suite, with a king bed and bunk beds with a trundle. We like this room because it provides us with room to hang out in when we aren’t at the parks.Overall this is a great place to stay, we enjoy the pool are and love that they have breakfast included each morning. Plus it’s a quick walk to the parks or to the Parking lot to hop on a shuttle bus. This is our top choice to stay off property.
Comfortable family stay
Overall value for comfortable family stay. Service was good and accommodations were clean and comfortable.
We love Homewood Suites
My oldest daughter is 20 yrs old and my family and I have stayed only with Homewood Suites at Maingate location since my daughter was 6 mos old. This time we stayed at the Anaheim Convention Center location this time because it was advertised as "brand new". Well, it's not brand new, however, it looks as though it's been renovated. The check-in staff were very friendly and accomodating. The kitchen staff worked exremely hard to make sure we guest had everything we needed. I do wish that bagels, cream cheese, waffles, yogurt and the evening dinner social would return. Housekeeping was extremely attentive to our needs. Our family took a Lyft to and from Disney every day even though the Toy Story Parking Lot was right next door. We had to do it this way beacause of my disability and the actual pick up spot for the free shuttle to Disney was at a distance that was not accomodating for me.
I would not hesitate staying here again.
Our room was clean. The beds were comfy. It was so nice having gone a little kitchenette and separate rooms (there was a door between the queen beds and sofa bed). The park is within walking distance, but there is also the option to catch the Toy Story shuttle in the Disneyland parking lot. The free breakfast is such a nice option. Walgreens is also close by…just in case you forget anything or you can always grab some snacks for your hotel room. Our trip was in October. The main pool was freezing. So the kids mainly hung out in the hot tub. They have grills and a fire pit. It was a really nice set up. I would not hesitate booking this hotel again.
Enjoyed our stay
For the most part, we enjoyed our stay at Homewood. I'm sure our stay wasn't truly reflective of their hotel since there are still some covid restrictions in place. Pros: The front staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool had long hours and played a movie at night for the kids. Our room was bigger than we expected and the walk to Disneyland isn't too far. Cons: The grab and go breakfast is blah. A bagel, cream cheese, yogurt, and 2 hardboiled eggs. Airport quality. They charge $22/night for parking. Maybe this is a thing in this area but I was surprised to have to pay extra parking at a hotel we're paying to stay at. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness of our bathroom when we checked in. It wasn't thoroughly cleaned before we arrived.
Liked it a lot
This Hotel is a good hotel, its clean, breakfast was good everyday, and is close to the free Toy Story Shuttle, only thing the pillows were too soft
Such a good choice!
Excellent hotel and staff! Our room was the family suite and it worked perfect for us! Breakfast each morning was exceptional and the helpfulness of the staff was amazing! The hotel is right next to the Disneyland Toy Story parking where we could walk over and catch the shuttle to Disneyland! Perfect hotel! Would be sure to ALWAYS stay there!
Excellent customer service and breakfast
Our stay was amazing. The staff was great as well as the breakfast and light dinner they provided. The only complaint I have is the smell of the lobby, there was a very overwhelming perfume-like smell. Fortunately, it was only and issue in the lobby.
Good breakfast and convenient location
The room was great. Had a king bed with bunk beds and a trundle pull out. The bed was not very soft and comfortable, but the kids beds were. If you stay on the ground floor you might get one of the private patios and that was pretty neat. But beware getting any crickets in your room, they are super noisy from 10 pm to 5 am. The movie at the pool was a nice touch. The breakfast was actually surprisingly yummy and they had different things every morning. Being right next to the toy story parking lot was nice. Free shuttle to and from the park.
Highly Recommend!
Awesome hotel. Free breakfast and dinner. The dinner was a lifesaver. Rooms were clean and service was really good. Free shuttle to the park. Made our trip to Disneyland such a fun experience. Would highly recommend.
Loved the snacks at night
The staff was wonderful and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Appreciated the snacks in the evening which really was a meal
Smiles all around
We love the Hilton Chain of hotels and Homewood Suites. We were pleasantly surprised at how well we were greeted, our rooms ready and cleaned daily, breakfast daily was delicious and dinner Monday-Thursday was an excellent touch for all of us tired Disneyland families! I loved how close we were to the Tot Story Parking Lot making it easy to go straight to the rides and fun for the day! Everything was clean, and taken care of. Smiles all around!
Sports Heaven
This hotel was amazing!! The clean rooms, beautiful lobby and outdoor areas were all incredible benefits to our stay. Our favorite part was the putting greens that were next to the pool. There were so many places to play all kinds of sports, this was the perfect hotel for my family and we will be back.
My Absolute Favorite Hotel EVER!
This hotel is one of the best hotel's I've ever been to!! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The Staff was amazing, helpful and kind. My family loved the variety for breakfast and dinner. Even though it was crowded for breakfast the staff worked their butt's off keeping everything filled and clean. I have to give the upfront staff a high five as well. They welcomed us with a smile and promptly helped us to our room. I will recommend this hotel to family, friends, coworkers...everybody!
Amazing find!
We loved this hotel! We will definitely choose it in the future. Comfortable beds, friendly and efficient staff, clean room. Fully stocked kitchen with fridge, microwave and 2 burner stove. Quiet room. Short walk to the free Disney shuttle next door. Awesome breakfast selection with different specialties every morning and wide variety of choices. Even though it was busy at breakfast when something ran out they very quickly refilled it. Nice pool area with basketball half court, putting green and BBQ grills guests can use. We will plan to stay here again in the future.
EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!
We just returned from our stay at the Homewood Suites and I cannot emphasize more how much we loved this hotel. The value you get here far exceeds other hotels I've stayed at near Disneyland: the bunk beds and trundle accommodated the kids nicely, beds were beyond comfortable, breakfast was very nice and food options changed daily (great way to save on a meal each day), and the proximity to Disney parking was the cherry on top (a savings of $25 a day). All of the staff were helpful and understanding - the breakfast crew changed each day but every one of them had a smile on their face as they helped their guests. Also, unexpectedly, one of the kids got the stomach flu in the middle of the night (no fun!) and we did our best to clean up, but without a washing machine, that's a little difficult to do at a hotel! We called down the next morning and asked for new linens to replace the ones we had to rinse out the night before. They sent up the amazing Jenny to pick up the rinsed out sheets and drop off new bedding - but she insisted she stay to put new sheets on the bed and provided a little tidying up for us so we could tend to our sick child. She was friendly and kind, just what we needed after being up all night. We were so grateful for the care we received at the Homewood and would definitely stay here again, and we will recommend them to friends and family. Book this hotel - it's worth every penny!

Awesome
I don't usually write a review but I felt it necessary after our stay. I loved this hotel. Rooms (the suite) were very spacious for our family (2 adults 3 children). The bunk beds and trundle bed pull out were what the kids slept on. Rooms were clean and had a kitchenette with cups and utensils for about 4 people. The breakfast was very good, with different options for what you want. In addition, they had dinner too. I'm not sure if that was for December only but it was a great bonus. The distance from the hotel to the Toy Story parking/bus transit was about a block or so (very close) and riding the Disney buses was free. Takes you right to the entrance of Disneyland/California Adventure. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating when we had some hyper active people or children above us. They moved use right into a different room that had all the same amenities. Overall I really enjoy this place. Better than any place I've stayed before around Disneyland. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay here again when we are in the Anaheim area.
Stop Searching and Book Here!
If you're a family going to Disneyland, this is the hotel for you!!! I spent hours and hours poring over hotel reviews on GAT, TripAdvisor, and Hotels.com and finally found this gem of a family hotel! Actually it's better than a "gem", as we feel like we really struck gold with the Homewood Suites Convention Center. First off, we arrived on a late flight and got to the hotel even later than expected. The first thing we saw when we came through the front entrance was the brightest smile from the front desk clerk. She greeted us immediately and had us all checked in within 5 minutes and ready to head up to our room. Walking through the hotel, we could see that it was exceptionally clean and we loved the friendly atmosphere right from the start. We stayed in a King suite with bunk beds for our two older boys (10 & 12), and there was a queen sofa bed for our 21-year-old daughter. The hotel supplied us with a pop-up crib (like a small pack-n-play) for our 18 month old son to sleep in. Everyone raved about how comfortable and cozy their beds were, and the boys loved the bunk bed set! It has a trundle underneath too, so if you have three older children, it's perfect! There is a full kitchen that is stocked with dishes, silverware, cups and glasses, and even Tupperware for leftovers--basically everything you could want or need. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! The dining area was definitely full of hungry families in the mornings, but the staff did an amazing job of keeping the floors clean, the food well stocked, and wiping down tables when they became available. There's a waffle iron station if you want to make your own fresh Belgian waffles, and the center island holds all the other hot foods which they changed up from day to day. During our ten day stay, we enjoyed scrambled eggs, sausage patties, sausage links, bacon, cheese omelets, hash browns, and breakfast enchiladas. In addition to all of this, there were a variety of cold cereals, a hot oatmeal station with lots of toppings, a pastry counter with muffins, breads, bagels cream cheese, etc., a coffee station, and lastly a drink station that offered a cold coffee drink, two types of juices, and cold milk. We absolutely loved the breakfast!!! This hotel also offers a light dinner Monday through Thursday, though we only took advantage of it one day we were there. That night they served salad, "homemade" style chicken noodle soup, and build-your-own meatball subs. Free beer and/or wine for the adults was a nice touch! We filled up easily and everything was good! Disneyland's Toy Story parking lot is right next door, and it's a 5 minute walk to hop on their buses and ride for free to the front entrance of the parks, which will save you some money paying for Uber or the ART shuttle. Parking was $18 per night, which sounds steep but hear me out--their parking lots are SECURE. You have to swipe your room key or the parking key they give you to get in and out, and they have security to monitor the lots day and night. Your car will be quite safe, and it's nice not having to worry about it getting broken into. The hotel told us that we could get 50% off our parking fees if we paid just those fees in cash, and we took them up on that! So for $9 per night, it's definitely well worth the extra cost (plus you're not paying for the shuttles everyday so there's that). The grounds were beautiful and clean, and the pools and hot tub well maintained. There's also a BBQ grilling area (utensils available at front desk), a small putting green, and a basketball court. The front desk will check out basketballs and putting accessories. This hotel was also QUIET. Surprisingly so, considering how many families and kids there were in the building! I know how daunting a task it can be to settle on one of the MANY Disneyland area hotels and how time consuming it can be looking over amenities and all of that. I am taking the time to write this suuuuper long review for this hotel because it was absolutely perfect for our family, and I know it will be for yours too. So stop searching, take a deep breath, and book this hotel! Then go have yourself a cold one and rest easy knowing that you just booked an AWESOME hotel for your family vacation!! :)
Awesome hotel!
So many things to love. The bunk beds were awesome. There is a trundle under the bunk bed too. The beds were very comfortable! The kitchen was great. There are burners for cooking. The freezer was nice to keep ice and our ice pack. Everything was clean. The cleaning people made the kids' bed with their stuffed animals which they loved! Breakfast was great!! Loved the variety. We had dinner there once and that was great too. Pool was fun. The Disneyland parking lot is right next store (and free) if you want to skip the ART tickets. If you have them the pick up is really close. The value for this hotel is awesome! We will definitely stay here again. We had three adults, three kids and a baby. It was quiet. Definitely five stars!
Excelebt service
Great customer service. Rooms cleanliness was great as well. Complemintery breakfast was a plus. Will definitely stat here again.
Great Hotel!
Very clean. Did their best to accommodate our needs. Loved the free valet. Although they do not have a shuttle, we used uber which was so convenient. Went to and from the parks on our schedule for little more than a shuttle pass per day. Only bummer was we extended our stay 2 nights and they were put on 2 separate reservations and the hotel could not combine them so we had to renew our keys 2 times throughout our stay. Nothing huge. Staff is all so friendly and helpful.
Nice stay at newer Homewood Suites
Family of four (dad, mom, and two teens) stayed 3 nights at this hotel and it was very nice. The rooms were clean and had new furnishings and décor, as the hotel is only about a year old now. That is one of the reasons I booked it. The complimentary breakfast was very nice and included 3 different egg options, meat, potatoes, waffles, freshly cut fruit (not what you usually find), breads, juice, and much more. Kids loved the bunk beds (the Family Suite we got had a king sized bed, and a set of bunk beds that included a trundle so you could sleep five in the bedroom). There is a sofa sleeper in the living area. Pool area was great. Hotel service was very good. There isn't much room to put luggage unless you unpack (there are two dressers, and they both have TVs on top). The bathroom vanity area was small, as was the living room area...we found that it was nice having the separation, but all of us didn't fit as easy in the living room with the size of the room and the sofa/chair/ottoman/table. Parking spaces are very close together (very common at many hotels in Anaheim), and the charge is $16 per night. Overall, I would recommend this Homewood Suites...one bonus for Disney visitors is that there is Disney-owned parking right next to this hotel, to the north. You can walk over to it and get on the shuttle, and be taken do Disneyland for free. This helps me get over the $16 parking fee (most hotels within 3 or 4 miles of Disneyland do charge parking, though). I found our package on Getaway Today are a very good value in terms of price compared to other websites, and if you factor in the free breakfast, it makes it an extra good value, especially if you need beds for 5 or 6.
Amazing!
We loved our stay! Clean and comfortable, fantastic breakfast, and m-th evening social food and drinks. The in-room kitchen, complimentary meals, and the outdoor grill make it unnecessary to eat in the park, saved us a lot of $. The putting green, basketball hoop, and swimming pool were a lot of fun!
Amazing new hotel
We loved the new Homewood Suites. We stayed in a room with bunk beds and the kids LOVED them. The breakfast was really good. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Disneyland.
