Overall a miss
The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, we were given room 424, which is right across from the breakfast area, we were woken up every morning by 7 am. The staff member that we talked about this did not seem concerned with our complaint. The window in our room didn't close and as a result we heard highway traffic all night. The pool was good, the kids enjoyed it. The laundry room was spotless, by far the cleanest washer and dryers we used on the trip. Overall I would say give this hotel a miss.
Great location and room
We love the location of the hotel and the family suite is perfect for us.
Run down
Small rooms, small beds, a little run down.
not great
Highway was ridiculously loud. Pool had no towels for guests. Sinks were backing up when not even in use. Had to take cold shower because of no hot water for 2 days.
Rebranded
It is now best western and not comfort inn
Disappointed
They are making upgrades to the hotel which made it okay. However, if I would have paid the full rate and not the getaway today rate I would have felt that I way overpaid. It was nice that some things were newer, but it was still lacking where they cut corners. They charge $23 for parking—but there is plenty of parking on the street right by it so I wish I would have saved my money. There was a roach in the bathroom sink and the room could have used a deep clean. It’s like they did some remodeling and never cleaned up the dust from the ledges. The freeway is right there and sooooo noisy. The windows are paper thin. The pull out couch has no real room to pull out because they put a large coffee table with no where to move it. And even though it looked brand new the mattress I. The pullout was unusable and the sheet looked dirty. The other beds were comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was okay, but be prepared for long lines. It’s just a large hotel. There was a large teenage group that stayed there one of the nights so like 59 kids were at the pool and hot tub. Which left it basically unusable for us. No bathroom st the pool area either so you will get what you get there. But they did have towels stocked at the pool which was more than I can say for the Marriott we stayed at before. The pool and hot tub were a large size but still not enough for the group they was there. But if you can get it at the great discount on getaway today and you’re fine with roaches and some dirt then go for it.
Stay was okay.
Comfort inn was hard to find cause they are in the middle of switching to best western and we didnt know that. The signs had been changed the day of our arrival and we couldnt find any sign for comfort inn. Had to ask people for help. Checkin was super slow because of the switchover. Our room was ok. We liked the space.
Great staff
Truly, the staff here made the stay great. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room was clean. The buffet staff worked quickly to keep hot breakfast items available for guests. All in all, I'd stay here again!
Issues with room key
Toilet plugged up easily. Had to ask for toilet paper and towels every day. Our hotel room key Didn’t work every night. Had to go to front desk and have it fixed. Do not recommend staying here.
I wouldn't stay here again
Upon arrival our hotel room wasn’t the room we booked on getaway today. They weren't going to move our hotel room to the one we purchased. They said it wasn’t their fault. After searching through my paperwork from Get Away Today to show them the room I paid for they still wanted more proof. They wanted me to upgrade my room and pay the difference. After awhile trying to figure out what to do, The staff was kind and gave us our correct room at no charge. It was a mess. The breakfast was bland. For 7 days it was the exact same thing: Make your own mini waffles, eggs, and sausage, fruit toast, we were surprised there wasn’t hot chocolate options. the pool and hot tub were nice. The hotel was very dark and dirty. It said it was renovated. But it seemed very old still. It was a budget hotel so we knew we were getting that. But it was worse than we expected. We did like having a king bed with a sliding door separating the kids bunk beds. Much better than a pull out couch! We each had our own TVs too. I recommend the side of hotel away from the freeway. It was always loud. You could hear the freeway all night all day. The drapes didn’t close all the way either and the street lights were so bright at night. out of all budget friendly hotels, I wouldn’t stay at this one again.
Needs to be updated
Needs to be updated carpet dirty shower dirty. Sheets and blankets need to updated yellowish.. great staff.. Needs major face lift. Great happy staff. Ran out of breakfast items 3 days in a row
I would stay here again
King size bed was really comfortable. The sheets don't stay on though, which is frustrating. The breakfast was a decent breakfast, but get there early. On our last morning there they ran out of yogurt, eggs, and sausage by 7:45 AM. We ended up going to Denny's downtown to get breakfast. Walls are thin. Shower water is hot, so nice. I would still stay here again. The one BIG downfall is that the parking lot lights are VERY bright and they shine directly into the 3rd floor room we were in. Curtains helped, but light still got through due to the brightness of the lights.

Loved this hotel
Room was great. Spacious, clean and quiet. Housekeeping was helpful. Breakfast had a great variety of options. Check in and check out was fast and easy.
Great Stay
This was a great choice for our family to stay at! It was in the perfect spot for us, central to everything. We loved the comfort of the rooms, and felt that it was very clean and well taken take of.
Good budget hotel in central area
We stayed at this hotel during our trip to a Knottsberry, The San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld. The beds are VERY firm and the bathroom has poor water pressure. Otherwise no real big issues. The parking is expensive, the alternative is to park on the street where there was abandoned vehicles, some transient shopping carts and questionable vehicles parked.
Basic Comfort Inn
This hotel is your basic comfort inn. If you are looking for somewhere to just spend the night and a comfortable place to sleep this is a great option. We stayed for a couple of nights while we did the zoo and Sea World and it worked fine. They have a free breakfast, so that was a nice little bonus.
