Any resort that offers the skyliner as a mode of transportation is huge plus for me and this was my favorite of those resorts. I love their poolside restaurant, Banana Cabana and I cannot tell you how many times I went down their water slide. I stayed in the Aruba section on my last trip and am hoping to stay in the Jamaica section for my next!

What an excellent location - so easy being able to utilize the SkyLiner right from this resort over to several other Disney Deluxe resort hotels, Epcot, and also Hollywood Studios. I also appreciated being close to the Riviera resort hotel where we were able to enjoy some of their additional dining options as well. This was such a Fun Themed hotel - Kids love the Pirate ship and waterslides at the pool. Also plenty of quiet spaces to hang in one of their Hammocks under a Palm tree to relax and unwind.

Love the theming of this Resort and the Skyliner access to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT! I personally love Pirates of the Caribbean and I feel like I am a part of that world while I am here. There are a lot of fun things to discover here! The Skyliner is also a huge plus. It makes it so easy to get to those parks. It is also a highlight flying over Caribbean Beach Resort and seeing all of the beautifully colored buildings of the Resort. Gorgeous views! One thing to keep in mind is that this Resort is very large. You might have to walk a ways to get to the Skyliner or to the lobby to get on the buses. The Resort does have in-resort transportation to get you from one side to the other. That was a nice option to have! We found out that the Pirate Themed Rooms have now been redone to be Mermaid Themed Rooms. These rooms now have 2 Queen Size Beds and a child daybed. We were told that to be able to book these you would need to book a Standard View 5th Sleeper Room and request a Mermaid Room. It would be subject to availability at the time of check in. These rooms are located in the Trinidad section of the resort. So there is a bit of a walk to the lobby and main pool from this section. These new rooms look stunning!

This resort is alllll about the location and let me tell ya, it’s amazing! Having a hotel on the Skyliner like this one, or the monorail like others is just so helpful and saves so much time. It’s so easy to get to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. On top of that, the grounds of this hotel are beautiful and it’s such fun theming. The pools are fun and I just love the lobby as well as the dining options.

I love staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. You feel like you’re in the Caribbean, and my favorite thing of all is that it’s located on the Skyliner route. The Skyliner is my favorite mode of transportation at Walt Disney World and you can take it from Caribbean Beach directly to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. The rooms themselves feel a little like a glorified motel, but it’s clean and big enough to sleep five, which is a huge bonus. The rooms are all in the process of being updated, which I think will make it even better. The buildings have exterior entries, and there are no elevators, so be prepared to request a ground floor, or haul your luggage and stroller. There are only two stories, so it’s not a huge haul, but good to know if you are a single parent or have anyone in your party with mobility issues. The guest rooms are spread out throughout the property, and you’ll likely be walking a lot, which we enjoyed because the grounds are so gorgeous. The buildings are each named after a Caribbean island. We stayed in Jamaica, which was close to the Skyliner station. The main pool is really fun and kind of feels like Pirates of the Caribbean. But, we also really enjoyed the pool near our building. Each of the buildings has access to a smaller, non-themed pool. They were quiet and relaxing, which was nice after a day of travel. Our favorite restaurant in all of Walt Disney World is Sebastian’s Bistro. It’s all served family style and offers a salad, rolls, three entrees, three hearty sides, soft drinks, and the best dessert ever - coconut-pineapple bread pudding. It is so good, and there is so much food, and it’s only $35/adult and $19/child, plus tax and gratuity. I feel like it’s the best value - and if you go a little later, you may be able to catch Epcot’s fireworks, which can be seen from the restaurant. We eat here every time, no matter where we stay!

The Skyliner access is the number one reason to stay at this Resort! You have direct access to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. My family loved riding the Skyliner just for fun too. Our room was in the Jamaica section which was the closest to the Skyliner hub. We really enjoyed the main pool, it feels like a Pirates of the Caribbean film set. The rooms are motel-style with exterior entries. Our room had two queen beds and a child size pull down. We really enjoyed strolling around the lake in the evening. Beautiful sunsets!
