Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim Review

Today we're excited to share our Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim Review. If you're not familiar with the Clementine, it may be because it was formerly known as the Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate. Everything at the hotel has been refreshed and rebranded. And our team was impressed. We break down everything so you can decide if this is the right hotel for your Disneyland vacation.

Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim Review - Rooms:

One of the best things about the Clementine Hotel and Suites is their wide variety of room types. Not only does the Clementine feature a variety of rooms, the room configurations are some of the most unique and home-y in all of the hotels near Disneyland Resort area.

All of the rooms feature bright fresh decor and come with a fully equpped kitchen. The kitchens have a full-sized refrigerator, stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher and all of the equipment you will need. Each room also includes a living room and a dining area with a table. 

Now that you know what each of the rooms include, we'll break down the different types and what makes them different.

Studio Suite: These rooms come with one queen sized bed and a sofa bed in the living room. These rooms are 450 square feet, sleep up to four guests and are located all in one large space. The bathroom is the only separate/private room in the studio suites.

1-Bedroom Suite: With 500 square feet, the one bedroom suites feature more privacy and sleep up to six guests. There are two queen beds in the separate bedroom area, as well as a sofa bed in the living room. The living room features a fireplace and both the bedroom and the living space have a large flat screen HDTV.

2-Bedroom Loft Suite: The largest and most unique roomtype at the Clementine Hotel and Suites is the Bi-Level Loft Suite. This room features everything that the other suites offer and more. Downstairs you'll find one bedroom with two queen beds, a living room with a fireplace, and a bathroom. Additionally, there's an open loft with a king bed and full bathroom. Each of the bedrooms and the living room each have an HDTV. These rooms sleep up to eight guests and are located on the second floor with stair access only.

Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim Review - Amenities: 

The Clementine has SO many amenities available to guests. One thing I noticed immediately was that their lobby welcomes you with... you guessed it, clementines. It was so cute - and such a great way to start off your stay at the Clementine Hotel.

Families staying at the Clementine are able to speand real quality time together with so many great common areas. There is a sports court with free tennis, basketball and volleyball equipment rentals. There is an on-site fitness center, playground and an outdoor heated swimming pool. You may even want to plan a day just to enjoy all that there is to do at the hotel!

It is worth noting that this hotel does not have any elevators. If anyone in your party has mobility issues, you'll want to request a room on the ground floor. Luckily, this property is spread out, and many of the rooms are located on the ground level.

Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim Review - Dining: 

One huge perk of staying at the Clementine Hotel and Suites is that they offer a free full American breakfast buffet each morning. You'll find everything from rotating hot items to breakfast staples daily. The breakfast is substantial enough to keep everyone in your family full well into lunch time.

Additionally, since you have your own kitchen in your room, the Clementine offers complimentary grocery service. You can leave your list and form of payment for the groceries themselves at the front desk by 9am, and they'll deliver your groceries straight to your room for no service fee.

Not only do you have your own kitchen at the Clementine, there is also a BBQ patio and fire pit area. Guests are welcome to grill their own dinner and enjoy a nice night by the fire.

If you'd rather venture out, there are numerous restaurants nearby, many within walking distance. The Clementine Hotel and Suites is right across the street from the Anaheim GardenWalk where you'll find California Pizza Kitchen, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Cheesecake Factory, House of Blues and so much more. 

Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim Review - Location:

You already know that the Clementine Hotel and Suites is located across the street from the Anaheim GardenWalk. On the other side of the Anaheim GardenWalk is where you'll find Harbor Boulevard, the street where you'll find the main entrance to the Disneyland Resort. So, this hotel is definitely near Disneyland!

The Clementine is just over half a mile and an easy 15 minute walk to the pedestrian entrance to the Disneyland Resort. However, many families with small kids prefer to use the Anaheim Resort Transit shuttle system that runs every 20 minutes from the hotel to Disneyland. Sometimes it's nice to not have to worry about walking after a long day at the parks! Other guests also like the ease of using Uber or Lyft to get to the parks from hotels near Disneyland early in the morning.

In addition to being so close to Disneyland, the Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim is conveniently located right off of the I-5. Having easy freeway access makes it a breeze to get to the beach, Knott's Berry Farm or anywhere else your Southern California adventures may take you.

Clementine Hotel and Suites Anaheim Review - Summary:

Overall, we highly recommend the Clementine Hotel to anyone who enjoys extra space and enjoys saving money on eating out while on vacation. But, it's more than just that. With so many fun common areas, we also highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is traveling with a large group. Or, anyone who has kids who need to get out some wiggles.

The Clementine Hotel and Suites is not "fancy," but it's perfectly comfortable and welcoming. We love the uniqueness of the loft rooms and that the living rooms feature fireplaces. 

It's close enough to Disneyland to be convenient to get there in the morning, but far enough away that you can feel like you're far enough removed from any hustle and bustle.
