What’s the difference between Extended Evening Hours and After Hours at Walt Disney World? At Walt Disney World Resort there are now more ways to extend the fun than ever before. When we talk about Extra Hours Events and tickets, most people are referring to one or more of these three options:

1. Disney After Hours Events
2. Disney Extended Evening Hours
3. Disney Early Theme Park Entry

With similar names it’s easy to see why guests can get them mixed up sometimes. Here’s the inside scoop.

Let’s first start out with who can experience these different Walt Disney World options.

• Extended Evening Hours are open to guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts or other select hotels who have a valid theme park ticket for that day.
• After Hours are open to anyone with a specific After Hours Event ticket for that party date.

Now that you know who can go to either of these late night experiences, it might be helpful to know what they are and what they include.

• Extended Evening Hours is a two-hour bonus operating hours that takes place on select nights at select Disney parks after closing time. Attractions are open and even an extra opportunity to join the Virtual Queue may be included.
• After Hours is a three-hour ticketed event that takes place on select nights at select Disney parks after closing time, with mix-in hours for a total of six potential hours in the park. It also includes snacks and drinks.

• Extended Evening Hours are free when you book a stay at a Disney Deluxe Resorts or Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts. While Deluxe Resorts are more expensive than Moderate or Value properties, there are often discounts that can be applied when you work with one of our Walt Disney World specialists.
• After Hours pricing depends on the date and party you choose. But we always offer discounts After Hours tickets as well.
