Why Families Love Disney Cruises for Spring Break

Spring Break cruises often conjure up images of a wild college party atmosphere. But parents with kids want to know where they can take little ones, teens and tweens for spring break, too. And a Disney Cruise is the answer!

Because many schools have different spring breaks throughout March and April, you’ll have a variety of dates to choose from. On a Disney Cruise you can enjoy time as a family with the Disney vibe you’re already familiar with.

Here are just a few reasons why families love Disney Cruises for Spring Break vacations:

  1. Incredible dining options, food and soft drinks are all included in the price
  2. Kids Clubs are included and fully immersive for specific ages groups
  3. Full Disney family experience with tons of entertainment
  4. Disney characters on board for meet and greets
  5. Fireworks at Sea and Pirates Nights to dress up as a family
  6. Disney’s Private Islands on select sailings
  7. Special offers like Kids Sail Free and More Disney Cruise Line FAQs

Kid Clubs and Entertainment Onboard

Disney cruises are famous for being family-friendly while TEXT HEREstill offering adults-only activities. Your kids will love the different clubs and activities offered for each age range, plus you’ll know they’re completely safe running around the ship. Why?

Well, Disney doesn’t allow any adults into the kids’ club facilities once the cruise begins. It’s the perfect environment to let your kids have fun while you relax in the adults-only pool or club areas! You can always join your kids on the sports deck or in the arcade to have some family-friendly competition, too.

Youth Clubs on board are free for children ages 3 and up (and fully toilet trained). While your children play in themed clubs for every age, they’ll enjoy the interaction with other kids their own age and participate in staff led programs by specially trained Disney counselors.

Each ship is set up with unique themes and play spaces to accommodate specific age groups and interests. For example, on board the Disney Dream, Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Fantasy or Disney Wish, children can enjoy any of these spaces below.

  • Andy’s Room: Reach for the sky! Hang with Hamm, Rex and the rest of the gang from Disney·Pixar’s Toy Story trilogy as this colorful world comes to life!
  • Disney Infinity Game Room: Test your skills with an archery challenge, get revved by the Disney Racers program or summon your inner Picasso with Infinity Draw.
  • Pixie Hollow: Visit the whimsical world that Tinker Bell and her fairy friends call home! In this fanciful forest setting, play dress-up, work on individual craft projects, use kid-friendly tablets and listen to stories.
  • Star Wars: Millennium Falcon: Join the Rebel Alliance in this intergalactic arena! In addition to arts and crafts, kids can design a starship, train like a Jedi or climb into Han Solo’s cockpit and send the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” soaring through the Star Wars universe!

Teens also find their own space at The Vibe. While the Vibe experience aboard each ship differs, the idea behind them is the same: Vibe provides Guests ages 14 to 17 with their own special place where they can break off from the family and connect with other teens from around the world.

When we’re talking about entertainment, Disney never disappoints! And it’s all family-friendly. You’ll find amazing Broadway-caliber productions on each Spring Break cruise.

The Disney Dream hosts “Beauty and the Beast” Live Stage Show, a musical production inspired by Disney’s live-action adaptation of the animated classic. The Disney Magic is home to Tangled: The Musical. On board the Disney Wonder you’ll find the Frozen, A Musical Spectacular or you can choose the Disney Fantasy if you’d rather see Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular.

On the Disney Wish you’ll be treated to “Disney Seas the Adventure”, a lively musical celebration, featuring favorite Disney and Pixar characters. No matter which ship you pick, you’re sure to love the signature performances! Don’t forget that you can even catch first-run movies in each of the ships’ Buena Vista Theatre. There’s entertainment for kids of all ages on the Disney cruise ships.

Tips for Booking Your Disney Spring Break Cruise

It's no secret that we love Disney Cruise Line. Not only do our customers love it, but many of our staff here at Get Away Today choose Disney Cruise Line for their own family vacations year after year.

As you’re getting ready to book your cruise here are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Be sure to book your Disney Cruise early. You'll save the very most money and have the best availability. Booking early will help you get the very lowest price with the least expensive stateroom categories available.
  • Each cabin type and category can alter the price. Pricing varies on layout, location and more. Disney's staterooms work similarly to airline seats. That means that once the cruise line sells a certain number of staterooms at one price, the exact same stateroom type and category will increase in price.
  • If you are booking two staterooms for your family, you'll also want to book as early as possible so that you can make sure your rooms are next to each other. Disney Cruise Line has a very small number of connecting staterooms, so if that’s important to you, you’ll want to book almost as soon as the itineraries are released. Our team are experts on Disney Cruise Line and can help you book with the best value.
  • We always help you check your options to make sure you're getting the best value. Regardless of what you decide on, booking early will always give you the most availability!

Be sure to call our agents at 877-510-2929 or take a look at sample cruise prices now. We can't wait to help you book the perfect Spring Break Cruise for your family. When you book with Get Away Today, you lock-in the lowest prices, plus you get access to our exclusive specials.
