Out of the entire Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Springs is the area that changes the most frequently. It is a shopping, dining and entertainment district located in the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort.

The one thing that doesn't change is it’s always a good time. Today we're sharing 11 tips for Disney Springs to help you make the most of your time there.

Tips for Disney Springs - What You Need to Know

1. Disney Springs is a massive entertainment district and is accessible by car, bus, water transportation, walking and more.

When parking at Disney Springs, please arrive at least 60 minutes before any scheduled event, show or reservation. Digital message boards along Buena Vista Drive will indicate when garages and surface lots are full.

2. You don't need a ticket to access Disney Springs. One of the best things about Disney Springs is that it's completely free to visit. You can people watch and window shop to your heart's content.

However, with so many other unique storefronts it may be difficult to walk out of Disney Springs without spending a little something. Luckily, you can rest assured that your entire spending will go towards the food and fun you purchased and not theme park admission.

3. Make a day out of Disney Springs. The Disney Springs District is open daily and late into the night. If you're a night owl, or want to go out for a night on the town, Disney Springs is an awesome bet.

There is also live music throughout the area, which is fun and free. Located across from the World of Disney shop, AdventHealth Waterside Stage is an outdoor space with tons of first-come, first-served seating. It’s also a quick stroll away from a variety of grab-and-go dining options.

Catch shows by Disney Performing Arts dance troupes by day and live tunes by night. Musicians often include a rotating lineup of regional and local favorites.

4. Ride the iconic Marketplace Carousel. This classic Venetian merry-go-round for a timeless treat—perfect for youngsters or the young at heart is available for a small fee.

5. Marketplace Train Express is another option for little ones. Young kids will love traveling round and round the tike-sized loop—and waving to you along the way, it’s the perfect warm up for theme park days ahead.

6. Jump aboard a Vintage Amphicar Tour of Lake Buena Vista aboard a fully restored retro dream boat. These 20 minute tours can fit up to 4 people and take you for a ride in a vintage Amphicar—a rare amphibious vehicle that can drive on land and float on water.

7. Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney is a stand out show in Disney Springs. In this first-ever collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering, journey into a world where an animator’s desk becomes the stage and drawings come alive. The show is a celebration of life, accentuated by the delightful, mesmerizing movements of Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatic mastery.

8. Stop by The Daily Poutine and prepare for cheesy, meaty, melty goodness! It’s one of our favorite quick-service dining options serving up variations of poutine, a popular Canadian staple consisting of thick-cut French or yucca fries smothered in cheese curds and gravy.

9. Our team also enjoys the unique full bowling alley/restaurant called Splitsville. You can get gourmet salads, sandwiches, pizzas, as well as Icees and Coca-Cola Freestyle machines with collectible cups. You can just dine, bowl and dine or just bowl. It's a ton of fun.

10. Another favorite is Gideon's Bakehouse, best known for their ingredient rich, from-scratch "almost half pound" cookies that take over 24 hours to create. Save some room for these delicious treats or grab some at the end of your trip to take home and enjoy as a reminder of your time at Walt Disney World!

Tips for Disney Springs - Overall

11. Enjoy Disney Springs in the morning. The mornings in Disney Springs are pretty quiet, and peaceful.

Starbucks, Earl of Sandwich and Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew are sometimes the only storefronts open, so it's a nice place to get breakfast before the crowds come. Disney Springs is also really fun to window shop early in the morning and enjoy some leisure time before heading into the theme parks.
