Walt Disney World has several different classifications of dining which we’ll discuss here:

This article reviews Disney's Hollywood Studios’s best places to eat. We also cover the other major theme park eats in these articles:

Below we’ll discuss in detail everything you need to know to decide which Disney's Hollywood Studios restaurants are right for you, plus helpful tips on how to book your advance dining reservations.

Best Fine Dining at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Disney's Hollywood Studios takes you into the action of set building, film and TV recording and more. Live up the celebrity status on a date night, a girls night or a special family dinner with fine dining at Hollywood Studios.

The Hollywood Brown Derby

Dine in an authentic replica of the famous Brown Derby, a Tinseltown landmark steeped in glamour and glitz. The walls are adorned with caricatures of famous faces—a tradition that began with the original restaurant—and the upscale atmosphere harkens back to the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Open for lunch and dinner you’ll love the Hollywood vibe and history on the menu like their famous Cobb salad that follows the recipe created by Bob Cobb, owner of the historic California Brown Derby.

Guests 21 years of age and up can enjoy classic cocktails poured tableside, in addition to Old and New World wines from Italy, France, California, Australia and beyond—sample three varieties from around the world with different wine flights!

Best Character Dining at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Meet up with favorite Disney characters you see on TV! Dine and enjoy fabulous company as they stroll by for autographs and photos.

Hollywood & Vine

Disney Junior Play n' Dine – Breakfast

Hollywood & Vine hosts two character dining options at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with Minnie Mouse and her pals (Minnie’s Seasonal Dining) or Disney Junior friends during breakfast (Disney Junior Play n' Dine).

The breakfast features assorted pastries and an omelet station. Classic entrees such as biscuits and gravy, Mickey-shaped waffles and eggs benedict are also available. Or, you can try one of their signature specialties like salmon and bagel casserole, plant-based frittata and brioche french toast with banana’s fosters sauce.

This spectacular lunch and dinner buffet offers an array of salads and delicious chilled starters. Entrees include roasted mushroom farro risotto, macaroni & cheese with shrimp and bacon, as well as protein selections featuring oven-roasted chicken, herb-crusted tenderloin steak, salmon and crispy pork belly.

Best Table Service Dining at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Table service is defined as any sit down restaurant with a server or a buffet experience. The two categories above (fine dining and character dining) are also included in table service.

However, we will mention a new favorite in this section to give you even more delectable options to consider during your Walt Disney World vacation.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant

The ambiance here simply can’t be beat. This blast from the past is an all-American eatery themed like a drive in movie.

Bring your appetite for dinner and a show '50s-style at this drive-in "theater," featuring all-American cuisine and sci-fi movie clips.

Enter the Hollywood-style soundstage as a classic car hop guides you to your very own automo-booth or table. Kitschy vintage memorabilia, the illuminated tail lights of your fellow drive-in diners and a sky full of twinkling stars set the mood as you place your order.

Pull up to a car-shaped booth or table and chow down at the “drive-in” playing thrilling, chilling sci-fi scenes. It’s always showtime at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, where you’ll find scrumptious items on the menu and scary clips on the screen: attacking aliens, marauding mummies, rampaging robots and more. (Remember, don’t scream with your mouth full!)

Our concierge team works at all hours to snag hard to secure dining reservations like Be Our Guest and Cinderella’s Royal Table. What’s even better—our service is free when you book a qualified Walt Disney World vacation package with us at Get Away Today.

We also want to mention a new restaurant option coming to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s the first Toy Story table service restaurant, Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant opening Spring 2023. We can’t wait to try it out and add our recommendations here.

Best Quick Service Dining at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Fast casual dining means no reservations required! And many of these locations accept mobile orders placed through the My Disney Experience app so your food is ready when you are.

Here are some of our favorite quick bites at Disney's Hollywood Studios:

  • Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich at ABC Commissary (Commissary Lane)
  • Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger at Backlot Express (Echo Lake)
  • Bavarian Pretzel with Beer-Cheese Fondue at BaseLine Tap House (Grand Avenue)
  • Foodie Favorites at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
  • Funnel Cake at Epic Eats (Echo Lake)
  • Truffle Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Hot Dog at Fairfax Fare (Sunset Boulevard)
  • Totchos Potato Barrels coated with Beef and Bean Chili, Shredded Cheese and queso at Woody’s Lunch Box (Toy Story Land)

There are so many things to eat at Walt Disney World theme and Disney's Hollywood Studios is full of quick bites and leisurely, magical meals.

We Recommend a Disney's Hollywood Studios vacation experience…
