Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley Review
One thing that sets Get Away Today apart from other travel companies is that our agents tour our hotels on an annual basis. But with the Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley, our agents actually stayed there during last year's familiarization trip. The hotel graciously hosted our entire team so we got to experience everything first hand. Read on to find out exactly what we thought of this hotel:
Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley Review - Rooms:
Right off the bat, we noticed how fresh and modern the rooms at the Hampton Inn were. The rooms feature two queen beds and feel really spacious. More than that, the rooms also have a mini fridge. If you're traveling with kids, it's a must.
Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley Review - Amenities:
If you're visiting San Diego, you will likely plan on spending some time pool side. The pool at the Hampton Inn Mission Valley is great. We also love the hot tub and the outdoor fire pits. It is such a great space to hang out after a day of fun in the sun.
Another incredibly appreciated amenity is the little store that they have in the lobby. It's open 24 hours and has anything and everything you could possibly need. It's perfect if you forget something or just don't want to go out after getting back to your room.
And last but not least, exclusively for Get Away Today guests, the Hampton Inn Mission Valley offers free parking for all of 2018. That's a $21 savings per night! If you're staying for a few nights, that savings will really add up.
Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley Review - Dining:
As far as free hotel breakfast goes, the breakfast offered at the Hampton is one of the best. You'll find a wide array of your standard continental breakfast items, plus a number of rotating hot items. Eggs, sausage, bacon and more are regularly available as is the make-your-own waffle station.
Although the Hampton doesn't have an in-house restaurant, the store in the lobby carries food items that could easily be stored in your in-room fridge or heated in the guest microwave. Additionally, the Hampton is located next to a number of fantastic restaurants that more than make up for the lack of an on-site restaurant.
Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley Review - Location:
The Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley's location can't be beat. It is only a five minute drive to the Fashion Valley Mall which has countless shopping, entertainment and dining options. If you're looking for a bite to eat, you can pick from California Pizza Kitchen, PF Chang's, The Cheesecake Factory and so much more. You're also only a seven minute drive to my personal favorite, the Shake Shack.
But the Hampton is close to so much more than shopping and dining. You're about a 10 minute drive to most of San Diego's top attractions. The hotel is located on a frontage road right off the freeway, which means you're a quick drive to SeaWorld San Diego, the San Diego Zoo, Old Town San Diego, harbor tours, beaches, SeaPort Village and more. If you want to head north, you're only about 30 minutes to LEGOLAND and other hot spots in Carlsbad. It's a perfect location for a San Diego vacation.
