• 2025 Walt Disney World vacation packages are now open as of February 2024, but past years dates often opened in June or July. Moving that date to February was a wonderful surprise for 2025 bookings.

You can book your flights and Walt Disney World vacation packages as soon as you know the dates you'd like to visit. Walt Disney World Resort hotels can fill up quickly so don't wait to make reservations, especially if you have a particular hotel or resort in mind. We suggest you make reservations for Disney hotels and resorts at least two months in advance, but book even sooner if you can.

Once you have purchased your Walt Disney World theme park tickets, your theme park visits are secured. There’s no need to make theme park reservations any longer at Disney World.

If your Disney World vacation falls around a major holiday, there may be special holiday events available you'll want to take advantage of. The holiday events at Disney can feature fireworks, costumes, themed treats, parades, concerts, and more.

Around Halloween, you can join in on fun events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Christmas time. Purchase tickets for these events separate from your daily park admission tickets and book early. It's recommended that you book for holidays at least three months ahead of time.

• Dining reservations at Walt Disney World open about 60 days in advance at approximately 6:00 AM daily. But there are some ways you can get yours even earlier.

Advance dining reservations are often referred to as “ADRs” in the inner Disney circle, so you might hear some fans mentioning that term.

Guests with a Disney Resort Hotel Reservation can make reservations for the entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of their arrival date. This is just another perk of staying on property since you can make all your reservations on the same day—rather than checking availability day after day. All Other Guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance.

We recommend using the free MouseDining service to help you score hard to get reservations. Every little tip counts because extremely popular restaurants like Victoria & Albert's at the Grand Floridian can book up minutes after reservations open.

The 60 day mark will keep you busy because there are a few more things you might consider booking that day, in addition to sit down dining:

• Character Dining. There are plenty of options to choose from, including Cinderella's Royal Table inside the Magic Kingdom or Princess Storybook Dining at EPCOT.
• Royal Makeovers.
• Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Experiences.

Remember, Guests with a Disney Resort Hotel Reservation can make reservations for the entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of their arrival date. All Other Guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance.

Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels will be able to plan some Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days).
All other guests can purchase and plan up to 3 days in advance.

• Virtual Queues for select rides open twice daily, once at 7:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Before your first day at the parks, download the My Disney Experience App. This handy app will help you plan and manage your vacation and allows you to sign up for virtual queues run by lottery systems for select attractions. There will be no in-person waiting available for experiences and attractions that use a virtual queue on the day you visit. So be sure to download the app to avoid the disappointment of missing out on popular attractions.
