Cabin Categories on Carnival Cruises

One thing is certain, there is a ton of variety when it comes to Carnival cruise ship rooms. No matter which room you choose, every stateroom comes with:

  • Dedicated stateroom attendant
  • Soft, cozy linens
  • Stateroom climate control, air conditioning and heating
  • Plenty of closet and drawer space for your outfits
  • Television for movies and shows
  • Bathrobes upon request
  • In-room safe for valuables

All About Cabin Locations

The first choice we suggest making is where on the ship you want to stay. Some cabin locations might appeal to you more than others after you read this overview.

Lower decks give you a great value and allow quick access to demarking the ship on port days so your destination is always close by. This is perfect for those who prefer the least amount of rocking motion as the ship is more stable at lower levels.

Some lower level decks offer a special Cove Balcony which offers a cove-like enclosure and the bottom half of the balcony rail has a solid steel panel—close to the water line.

Aft cabins (towards the back of the ship) are near casual dining choices and after dinner you can enjoy laugh-out-loud comedy or belt out some jams at karaoke with your stateroom never far away. Even though you’re close to the action, aft cabins at the back of the ship tend to be a bit quieter from other guests, but expect a little noise and vibrations from the ship itself back here.

Midship is the center of everything. Soak up the fun at the nearby pool or waterslide. From here it’s also easy to go fore or aft… or up or down, thanks to the extra elevators.

Upper decks allow you to be close to the entertainment, fun and outdoor deck areas. Most suites are often located on upper decks in addition to the gorgeous, panoramic views. For those prone to motion sickness, upper decks tend to feel more of the ocean sway, so a lower deck level might be a better choice.
