Disney Cruise Itineraries with Stops at Lookout Cay

  • Many 3 and 4 night cruises to the Bahamas or Caribbean from Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale make a stop at Lookout Cay
  • Some 5 and 6 night cruises to the Bahamas or Caribbean from Port Canaveral a stop at Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay

A typical day in port at Lookout Cay gets you ashore as early as 8:30 am, with the last call for boarding back on the ship by 4:45 pm. That’s nearly 8 hours of fun, entertainment, food and relaxation at Disney’s exclusive Bahamian resort on shore.

Please note that there is a ½ mile walk from the ship to the trams which will then take you to the main Disney area to enjoy your day. Plan for sunny days with hats and sunscreen as needed. Wagons and strollers are available for little ones as a courtesy. They also have golf cart transportation for those who need that assistance. Be sure to schedule your golf cart ride ahead of time with guest services.

Looking ahead, we particularly recommend sailing on the Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy in 2026. We know that booking early gets you the best rates and stateroom availability. How to Spend Your Family Day on Lookout Cay with Littles

Cruising with toddlers and young kids is a dream on Disney Cruise Line! Our Get Away Today agents love taking their young families on these incredible adventures with Disney Cruise Line.

Onboard, we love keeping toddlers occupied with entertainment made just for them —and bigger kids love hanging out at Disney-inspired kids clubs. But when the beach is calling—Lookout Cay has all the answers.

Once you’re off the tram head toward True-True BBQ and Rush Out Gush Out play area to find an ideal, less busy spot on the beach.

You can spend the morning with a balance of fun and relaxation when you get to the beach early and snag loungers and umbrellas closer to the shoreline. There are several lounging areas, but some are much closer to the water than others. They are separated by elevated pathways to protect the natural vegetation and environment of the island.

When it comes to dining, Disney is well prepared with a family feast at True-True BBQ. You can also take advantage of a host of good-time activities, from lively music and dancing. If you need a break from the sun, bring the kids over to In Play-Play Pavilion for games and dancing with Disney characters.

After lunch you might wander over for some sightings of your favorite Disney Characters throughout Disney Lookout Cay. These are perfect moments for photo-snapping before shopping and heading back to the ship to clean up for the evening. Remember to give yourself ample time to walk back to the ship.

How to Spend Your Family Day on Lookout Cay with Teens

Ready for an adventure with your teens on Disney Cruise Line? This is the best way to show off your adventurous side, too! Make your first stop of the day to rent snorkel gear or other water equipment. Then pick the spot to lounge and play for the day near the shore.

The water is so clear it is easy to spot coral reefs and pick out areas to snorkel. You might also enjoy heading to the far right part of the beach via the pathways away from the main beach to find more secluded spots to relax and play.

When your teens are ready to eat, the food at True-True BBQ is always hot and fresh! Plus, it’s all you care to enjoy along with soft drinks.

How to Spend Your Adults Only Day on Lookout Cay

On an adults only getaway? Disney Cruise Line knows how to spoil you on Lookout Cay. From snorkeling to lounging, enjoying food and all the fun listed above—you can have it all.

But our favorite part of an adults only cruise is a stop at the adults only beach on Lookout Cay. This secluded oasis is for adults 18 years of age and older.

Unwind in the Bahamas while treating yourself to such offerings as an open-air cabana massage under the swaying palm trees, or frozen specialty drinks at Watering Hole. You can even get your drink inside a Lookout Cay pineapple sipper.

Adults with older children might also enjoy heading to the far right part of the beach via the pathways away from the family beach to find more secluded spots to relax and play.
