If there's one thing that Anaheim is known for, other than being home to the Disneyland Resort of course, is an incredible array of hotel choices. Families visit the Disneyland Resort and surrounding areas from all over the world, and they all need someplace to stay! Luckily, we've been able to work with some of the best Anaheim hotels and resorts in the area that offer everything from the most basic accommodations for families looking for the most affordable option to luxurious hotels with a resort feel to condo style properties offering all of the comforts of home.
The last couple of years have brought a lot of exciting growth to the Anaheim area with so many new hotels. We thought it would be fun to give a quick overview of some of our favorite new Anaheim hotels that have opened around Disneyland over the last year or so. Here they are -
Newest Anaheim Hotels:
Where it is: Located on Harbor Boulevard, the Homewood Suites is less than half a mile to the Disneyland Resort.
When it opened: Fall 2015

Why we love it: All of the suites are equipped with a full kitchen - and they even offer free grocery service if you want to cook in your room. They also have some suites with bunk beds. In addition to an outdoor heated pool, kids pool and hot tub, the new Homewood Suites has an outdoor fire pit, arcade, putting green, basketball sport court, barbeque area, and a movie wall. It has something for everyone!
Extra savings: Free hot breakfast every morning, free light dinner Monday - Thursday
Where it is: On Harbor Boulevard, just about a mile from Disneyland
When it opened: Fall 2014

Why we love it: Their rooftop pool has awesome views of the Disneyland fireworks (a rarity and definite plus for Anaheim hotels), and there's a CVS downstairs making it really convenient. They also have kid suites with bunk beds.
Extra savings: Free breakfast is served every morning, plus Get Away Today guests get discounted parking. Regular parking is $18/day, but Get Away Today guests only pay $7/day - an $11/day savings.
Where it is: Garden Grove, about a mile and a half from the Disneyland Resort
When it opened: February 2016

Why we love it: It's the only resort in Anaheim that offers a full indoor water park with tons of water slides, a wave pool, splash areas and a lazy river. There are tons of kid and family activities available all the time. You'll have to book an extra day or two because you won't want to leave your resort! The rooms have a spacious cabin feel and come with a microwave and refrigerator. As far as Anaheim hotels go, you won't find anything else like it.
Extra savings: Water park passes are included for the first four guests, extra guests are $50 per person per day, payable to the hotel. Get Away Today guests have their resort fee waived - a $25 per night savings!
Where it is: On Harbor Boulevard just about a mile from Disneyland
When it opened: Fall 2014

Why we love it: Their rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and some even have bunk beds.
Extra savings: The Hyatt Place serves a hot breakfast each morning.
Holiday Inn Express Anaheim
Where it is: On Manchester Boulevard, about 1/3 of a mile from the Disneyland Resort
When it opened: February 2016

Why we love it: It is so close to Disneyland, but it's also tucked away so you don't feel like you're in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Harbor Boulevard. Also, it's one of the newest and closest hotels to Disneyland.
Extra savings: Free breakfast each morning
Residence Inn Anaheim Convention Center
Where it is: On Katella Avenue, right by the Anaheim Convention Center and about a half mile walk to the Disneyland Resort
When it is opening: August 2016

Why we love it: Gorgeous rooms with full kitchens, kid suites with bunk beds, a roof top pool and kid splash area, an on-site Pizza Hut Express, and a barbecue/picnic area... to name just a few reasons.
Extra savings: Free breakfast with hot items every morning, free grocery delivery service if you want to cook in your kitchen.
