Handlery Hotel San Diego Review - Rooms:

The Handlery Hotel San Diego features a total of 217 guestrooms that are found in four buildings. The buildings have two floors, and the interiors of these buildings have all been redone. The guestroom renovations look awesome.

All guestrooms at the Handlery Hotel feature updated, clean decor and crisp, white linens. There's also free in-room WiFi and an in-room mini fridge. The rooms feature one king or two double beds. If you're looking for something that feels modern and comfortable, the Handlery is a good choice. If you're looking for a resort property with all of the bells and whistles, this may not be your best choice.

Handlery Hotel San Diego Review - Amenities:

When you book your stay at the Handlery Hotel with Get Away Today, you actually get way more than what you pay for. One of these free perks is parking. The Handlery Hotel San Diego typically charges $14 per night for parking, but that fee is waived for Get Away Today guests.

Not to mention, if you don't want to pay for parking elsewhere, you can use the hotel's free shuttle. The Handlery Hotel San Diego offers free shuttle service to attractions and restaurants within five miles of the hotel. That includes attractions like SeaWorld San Diego, the San Diego Zoo and Old Town. You'll need to make reservations for the shuttle which has limited hours, so keep that in mind when making plans.

The Handlery Hotel has a large tropical pool. The pool is in the middle of the four buildings and is surrounded by palm trees. The pool is heated year-round with plenty of poolside seating and towel service. They also offer poolside dining during the summer, and seasonal poolside activities. Be sure to check the hotel schedule when you check-in to make sure you don't miss something fun. There's also a small fitness center that overlooks the pool with free weights, and a few machines.

Handlery Hotel San Diego Review - Dining:

Remember how I mentioned you get more than you pay for when you book with Get Away Today? That includes breakfast! You'll get to order a free plated breakfast from the menu at Postcards American Bistro each morning. The restaurant, located right off of the lobby, is also open for lunch and dinner daily.

The Reef Lounge Poolside Bar & Grill is also open seasonally. If you're looking for more restaurant choices, you're less than a mile to the Fashion Valley Mall. In fact, you're so close to the mall, you could walk it! There you'll find everything from pizza to sushi, BBQ to tacos, and sandwiches to fine dining. Did I miss something? Don't worry, you'll be able to find that too.

Handlery Hotel San Diego Review - Location:

You can probably already tell from reading the amenities and dining sections of our Handlery Hotel San Diego review that this hotel is located in an ideal vacation spot. It is located on Hotel Circle, which means it's right off of the freeway and minutes away from San Diego's beaches, as well as its major attractions. It's also really easy to get to Carlsbad and the LEGOLAND California Resort if you're headed up north.

Not only is the Handlery Hotel San Diego located on Hotel Circle, it backs up to the Riverwalk Golf Club. And, like we mentioned in the dining portion, the hotel is also within walking distance to the Fashion Valley Mall.
