Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside Review - Rooms:

There are two main categories of room types that we sell at the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside; standard and executive. These rooms are housed in three buildings spread throughout the property.

The executive rooms are found in the executive tower, which is the main tower where you'll check-in. All of these rooms are interior entry and come with either two queens or one king bed. They are beautiful, spacious and have a microwave and refrigerator. There are both city and harbor views available.

The standard rooms can be found in the tower building which is also interior entry and in the two story building that surrounds the courtyard, which is outdoor entry. While both of these buildings are older than the executive tower, you'd never know it when you enter the rooms. They feature the same fresh decor and also come with either two queen beds or one king bed. These rooms also come with a refrigerator. If you are in the two story building that surrounds the courtyard, your room with come with either a patio or balcony. You'll love taking advantage of the San Diego breeze.

Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside Review - Amenities:

The Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside offers a wide array of amenities for all of their guests. We loved the spacious pool area that features complimentary ping pong and shuffle board nearby. The hotel also has a complimentary putting green and free beach cruiser rentals. It is so much fun for families, couples or friends looking to spend some quality time together at the hotel.

Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside Review - Dining:

Guests staying at the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside have their choice of two in-house restaurants. The first is the Point Loma Cafe, which serves breakfast and lunch. Fair warning, the portions are huge. The food is delicious and the servers are some of the best I've ever encountered at a restaurant. The Point Loma Cafe also offers room service for guests who'd like to spend their morning or afternoon lounging in their rooms.

And because you're staying at the Holiday Inn, two kids ages 12 and under eat free with each paying adult. Plus, senior citizens can take advantage of a 10% discount. Both offers are a great way to help you save money for food on your San Diego vacation.

In addition to the two in-house restaurants, there are a number of restaurants within walking distance. Plus, Door Dash, Grub Hub and Uber Eats all deliver a wide variety of cuisines right to the hotel.

Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside Review - Location:

One of the best things about the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside is its location. The hotel is situated in Point Loma and close to both the airport and many of San Diego's most popular spots. The airport is literal minutes away while SeaWorld San Diego, the San Diego Zoo, USS Midway Museum, Gaslamp Quarter and many other tours are only 15-20 minutes away. And, of course, the beautiful beaches and water that San Diego are known for can be found far and wide. Whether you're visiting San Diego for the theme parks, scenery or dining scene, you won't be disappointed in the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside's location. 

Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside Review - Recommendations

Overall, I felt like the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside would appeal to an incredibly diverse group of travelers. It's rare to find a hotel that would appeal to couples, families with ages from babies to teens, and/or a friends trip. The Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside offers enough options that it would satisfy those looking for a quiet getaway or a fun-filled vacation. I would recommend this property for anyone from a honeymoon to a family reunion - it was that diverse.
